Ingredients:
Salt to taste.
½ cup of olive oil.
Pinch of black pepper.
1 cup of white coarse bulgur.
½ cup of brown lentils.
Five medium-sized onions cut into slices.
Method:
1-Boil lentils in boiling water for seven minutes and save two cups of boiling water.
2-Cut the onions into slices, and fry them in oil over a low temperature until they turn golden. Lift the onions, then drain the oil and place the onions on kitchen paper until they become completely cold.
3. Fry the bulgur well in a dish with the spices in the olive oil.
4-Add the lentils to the dish, then add the boiled lentil water and close the dish tightly. Leave the dish on a medium heat for fifteen to twenty minutes.
5-Serve Mujadara with the fried onions.
